The "SGPGI Breast Course 2014" and the "ABSI Skills Course" are being jointly organized by the "SGPGI Breast Health Program" and the "Association of Breast Surgeons of India". The "Breast Surgery International" has kindly agreed to co-badge this course.

We hereby invite you to be part of this course as faculty/ presenter/ participant/ sponsor/ exhibitor, and share your expertise with the audience, as well as learn about various facets of breast cancer management from a panel of eminent experts. The course is targeted largely to young and practicing surgeons, surgical and radiation oncologists, general surgical trainees and breast surgeons. The course faculty would include eminent overseas experts, including the Breast Surgery International Guest Faculty, and the who's who of Indian Breast Surgery and Oncology fraternity. The first day of the course will be broadly dedicated to workshops on "Breast Imaging and Interventions" and "Venous access (Chemoport) in cancer patients "and on "basic breast surgery techniques". The second day of the course will be focused on "contemporary breast cancer management- evaluation, surgery, adjuvant treatment, follow-up", and will include lectures and videos on issues such as breast conservation, oncoplasty, sentinel lymph node biopsy. RT in intact breast, contemporary adjuvant treatment-chemotherapy, hormone, targeted therapy and utility of molecular profiling".

The course would also provide opportunities for the young surgeons, surgical trainees to show-case their clinical and research work in form of posters and videos. The most notable of videos and posters would be awarded prizes. There would be opportunities for young surgeons, radiation oncologists and trainees to avail one of many travel grants/ awards which would facilitate their participation in this course. The organizing team at SGPGIMS would leave no stones unturned to look after our guests during this course, and are hopeful that all our guests would go back with good memories of the Lucknawi Mehman-nawazi and Avadhi Zaika.
